Our Process
We are seeking to imitate the pattern of mentoring/disciple-making that was modeled by Jesus by following a simple 3-part process:
1. We begin the mentoring/disciple-making process with any believer, whether he or she is a new believer or has walked with Jesus for decades. All that is required is a sincere desire to know Jesus more and to follow Him as a disciple who makes disciples.
2. We then come alongside this person through a relationship focused on love, accountability, and the spiritual disciplines, helping to cultivate and develop his or her relationship with Jesus as he or she continues in the process of spiritual growth and maturity.
3. The final part of the process is to help this individual find and fulfill the ministry that God has prepared for him or her as a disciple-maker in the home, the church, and the world.
Our History
Mentoring Men for the Master (M3) was founded by Dr. Bill Bennett in 2000. After pastoring local churches for about 50 years, ranging in membership from 85 to 8000, God called Dr. Bennett out of the pastorate giving him an extraordinary desire to help young pastors, sensing their need to have someone “come alongside” of them who would teach and encourage them. Later on he observed that serious laymen also needed an “encourager” who would do the same thing for them. It is through this call that M3 was born. Beginning on a small scale with literally just a handful of men, M3 has developed into a full-time ministry that is touching a multitude of lives across the world. The mentoring process is not primarily teaching the facts about Christianity, but it is a relationship whereby the mentor/disciple-maker teaches and demonstrates the principles and practices of biblical Christianity.
