THE SEVEN GREAT “G’S” TO GOOD HEALTH

 

Listed below are the seven great “G’s” to good health, followed by pertinent questions.  Please answer the questions, and turn in your paper to Thad:

God

Question:  Are you surrendered to the Holy Spirit in such a way that your spiritual health contributes positively to your physical health?  Yes_______No________

Genes

Question:  Do you know of inherited traits which are positive factors in your health, also negative factors? Yes_______No_______

Grub

Question:  Do you consciously avoid food which you know will hinder your health (fast foods, for example) and eat food which contributes to good health? Yes_______No_______

Gym

Question:  Do you follow a regular physical regimen of exercise which builds your body? Yes_______No________ If so what?____________________________________Note:  Your “Gym” may be a literal building called a gym, but your gym may be an outside running or walking path, etc.

Gladness  “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine” (Proverbs 17:22).  “Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects” (Arnold Glasgow)

Question:  Are you truly happy on the inside?  Yes_______No_______

Gumption – Sanctified Common Sense

Question:  Do you have sense enough to realize that the quality of your life is the shape of your body?  Yes_______ No_______

Grit  Grit is the unwavering and unyielding determination to do what it takes to keep your physical body in good shape, no matter how hard or how you feel

Question:  Do you have enough grit to make an “advance” decision to exercise your body, regularly, no matter how you may feel or the discomforts you may encounter? Yes_______No___________

  

Questions:

 

(1)   Do you see a parallel between spiritual and physical discipline? ___________________

(2)    If you applied the same attitude toward physical discipline that you apply to spiritual

discipline, would you be exercising enough to keep your body in good shape?  Yes_______No_______

(3)        If you could see your spiritual condition going to “pot” as you can see your physical

body  getting into  bad shape, would that encourage or discourage you?  Yes______

No_______

(4)         Is obesity primarily a spiritual problem?  Yes________No________

(5)         Do you believe that a man can be right with God and expect to be filled with the Holy

Spirit and used mightily in God’s kingdom if he is physically out of shape because of

his neglect?  Yes_________No_______

(6)         Do you realize if you just exercise when you feel like it that you would exercise very,

very little?  Yes________No________

 

Final Question:

Has this lesson today encouraged you to obey the 9th “I”?  Yes_____No_______
