Workshop this week , no video available :
- Assignment today: (to include assigned verses)
- Which side of this do you have a greater propensity to lean towards?
- I lean towards getting all of my “church” there on site or on campus of my local church and I have a hard time “being” the church out there in the world when I drive off on Sunday/Wednesday, ect….
- and what does that look like in your life. What does it look like in your thinking and attitudes.
- I lean towards getting all of my church stuff outside of or away from the local/home church. I lean towards just “going to church” to check it off and because I feel a responsibility to “attend.”
- I lean more towards being a “free agent” Christian.
- Attitudes behind that?
- This is not about criticism or condemnation:
- Its not so much about “stop that” whichever side you lean towards…
- This new world of opportunity
– and exposure to the church at large is wonderful
- This new connectedness with the larger body is GOOD
- This is about us learning how to balance both sides of this without leaving the other behind
- As Dr. Bennett would say:
- Its not either, or…Its BOTH, AND. Amen?
- Assignment for next week: (3/22-23)
- Same memory/meditation verses. Choose 2-3 more to internalize.
- Life application assignment:
- What are you currently doing in the local church?
- What type of “Body of Christ” stuff are you doing outside of the local church? (M3 for example)
- How can you maximize each of these areas? Be specific!!

ADDITIONAL ASSIGNMENT
- Which side of this do you have a greater propensity to lean towards?
- Do you lean towards getting all of your “church” there on site or on campus of your local church and have a hard time “being” the church out there in the world when you drive off on Sunday/Wednesday, etc.
- If you lean towards this perspective, what does it look like in your life. How does it play out in your thinking and attitudes?
- Or do you lean towards getting all of your church stuff outside of or away from the local/home church? Do you lean towards just “going to church” to check it off and because you feel a responsibility to “attend”?
- Do you lean more towards being a “free agent” Christian? If you do, what are the attitudes behind that?
