Interrelating with others to share your life – The 5th “I”

Romans 12:1-8

At M3 we understand that we have a Biblical mandate to give our lives away and to invest in others.  In other words, “To make disciples, who make disciples.” We also understand that one of the primary ways that we are to do this is through the use of our spiritual gifts that were given to us at the time of our salvation by the Holy Spirit.

There are many who are actively engaged in this and there are others who are not.  Also, there are many who are not operating at a level of maximum effectiveness in this area.  Why?

In Romans 12:6-8, Paul gives us a very blunt command to “use” our gifts since we have them.  This seems and sounds simple enough but if we look closer, we see that Paul actually gives 3 prerequisites that must be met in order for us to operate at maximum effectiveness regarding the use of our gifts.

We will take the next 2-weeks to examine this issue of “using” our gifts and especially the requirements necessary in order for us to do just that.  We will also offer each of you the opportunity to take a Spiritual Gifts Inventory online in order to help give you some direction on using your gifts after the requirements have been met.

6/7-8 – Lets look back into chapter 12 of Romans to discover and discuss the first 2 of the 3 requirements for us to use our gifts in the manner God intends.
