  1. 28 Ridiculous Alarming Excuses People Do Not Attend Church
    1. Too many hypocrites in the church.
    2. The church is always asking for money.
    3. I work hard during the week and need to rest on Sunday.
    4. I don’t like the pastor.
    5. The people are not friendly.
    6. I don’t like the songs they sing.
    7. There is no place to park.
    8. I don’t have to go to church to be a Christian.
    9. I do my recreation on Sunday.
    10. The pastor did not call or visit when I was sick.
    11. I just don’t get anything out of the preaching.

  • 9 Real Truthful Reasons People Do Not Attend Church.
  1. They do not love Jesus.
  2. They do not want to hear the Word of God.
  3. They do not want to be reminded on their sins. “Everyone who does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, because their deeds were evil.” (John 3:20).
  4. They are lost and blinded to their need.
  5. They do not want to make any commitment to anything.
  6. Like Jonah they are running away from God.
  7. They don’t want to change their way of living.
  8. They do not want to run into their creditors.
  9. I do what I want to do and I do not want to go to church.

 

  • 9 Acceptable Reasons for Not Attending Church.
    1. Physically unable.
    2. Attending someone you cannot leave by themselves.
    3. Absolutely unable to walk and no transportation.
    4. A sudden emergency, such as death of loved one.
    5. Recuperating from serious operation.
    6. Severe weather not permitting safe travel.
    7. Works of absolute mercy on Sunday requiring your presence and service: Medical doctors, nurses.
    8. Work required by government in war. Illus:  I worked on Sunday for two years at the shipyard during world war II by orders from the federal government.
    9. The preacher is liberal and does not preach from the Bible.

  2. If you don’t attend a church, why not?
  3. Do you serve in the church you are attending?

  6. Did Jesus attend a church?
  7. Were there any hypocrites in the church He attended?
  8. Were there any hypocrites in the church Jesus Himself formed?
  9. The most loving church in the New Testament was the Church at Philippi. Was it a perfect church?
  10. If anybody could find a perfect church, should he join it?
  11. Did you know that MMM produces outstanding church members? Why?
