MEMORY WORK
Continue to study Ephesians 5:18-33 as a whole, but in particular internalize Ephesians 5:29 and 1 Peter 3:7. Even if you already have them memorized, remain on them.
ADDITIONAL ASSIGNMENT
In addition to the memory work, be sure to do the following depending on which category you fall under. The nourish/ cherish list and starving list will be after the specific instruction below:
HUSBANDS:Nourish/cherish list:
- Circle what you do now.
- What is not circled are the qualities you need to cultivate.
- Give a clean list to your wife and have her do the same. Be sure to provide a safe environment for her to be honest, assuring her that you want to know the truth and “learn” her by knowing her needs.
- Circle any of these that you are currently doing. These need to be eliminated.
- Give a clean list to your wife. Ask her to circle those that you are doing. Be sure to give her a safe environment to do this. Your willingness/unwillingness to do this reveals the truth about whether or not you are serious about being a godly husband. Check her list against yours.
- What did you learn?
WIVES:Nourish/cherish list:
- Circle any of these nourishers that you are currently receiving.
- Those not circled are what you are lacking and need.
- Underline the ones that you are currently not receiving but that you REALLY need.
