Continue to study Ephesians 5:18-33 as a whole, but in particular internalize verses 21 and 29. If you have already done one of those, internalize 1 Peter 3:7 instead.
ADDITIONAL ASSIGNMENT
In addition to the memory work, be ready to answer the following 3 questions before our next meeting. This will be part of the discussion at the tables:
For the men:
1) How are you currently “nourishing and cherishing” your wife?
2) What does it mean TO YOU (not in general) to nourish and cherish your wife?
3) Go ask your wife what it means to her what it means for you to “nourish and cherish” her? Be sure to foster an environment where she will be comfortable answering this, not afraid of your response.
For the women:
When you think about your husband “nourishing and cherishing” you, what honestly comes to your mind? Don’t try to say the “right” thing, but rather be honest. What does this look like to you?
